A beautiful, peaceful place to get your thoughts together and let your mind wander. A space to relax and regroup. The bed was really comfortable and I slept so well. I felt rested. A place to take a breath with a coffee as you watch the sunrise on the terrace and make a plan for the day. Cozy with an open fire in winter, and wall to wall wide blue skies on the terrace. Forty minutes from Pisa. I took the train from Vezzano Ligure going back and it was pretty straight forward. There are stunning views across the glorious Italian countryside and it’s only twenty minutes from the sea – which you can in fact see from the terrace. The gorgeous seafront town of Lerici is ideal for a walk along the water, lunch, brunch, or glass of wine with a good book! The beautiful views of the Cinque Terre are also well worth an afternoon’s visit. The week I spent with Jody and Blue was a complete game changer. A break I didn’t know how much I needed. Can’t recommend it enough.

Spending a couple of weeks in such a spacious yet cozy apartment with its dining terrace opening towards quite remarkable scenic views across the hills and vales of Liguria was a Summer holiday well chosen! Patricia and I were delighted to feel welcomed as guests by the local people we met at the various markets, cafés and bars several of whom were already good friends with our hostess… the walks around and about the hilltop village were sublimely refreshing, if strenuous, and of course visits to the nearby town of Lerici and it’s seaside provided for us a perfect Italian sojourn.
